this protoype uses the elements of hierarchy and positioning in the bathroom. the idea that 90% of trash is paper towel is calls for a taller and bigger space then the trash and glass. the unit is 2 inches narrower then the average garbage can that is used in all the 14 bathrooms in lawrence hall. the trash unit is the next largest and is the same height at a average garbage can.the unit can be separated and turned depending on the composition of the bathroom. we are designing units where the trash is seen first, because people walk into the bathroom with trash and leave with paper towel.
all units are flat packable and take up 50% less room then the normal recycling unit.
